Building evacuations model during flooding for the University of Iowa
Campus
GIS layers creation for hazard damage and loss estimation for the City
of Des Moines
Creating algorithms using NEXRAD Level II data and GIS to couple
atmospheric phenomenon to vulnerabilities on the land surface.
Developing curriculum for GIS and Hazus-MH courses
for FEMA.
Past Projects:
Hazus-MH analyses during the 2008 Iowa Flooding for Emergency Operation
Center needs at the state and local level.
Produced 33 all hazard mitigation plans for Counties in the State of
Indiana.
Modeled 100 global thunderstorms using the WISCDYMM 3-D cloud physics
model.
Simulated hurricane storm surge flooding for New York City, NY using
Hazus-MH.
Created a statewide flood damage assessment for the State of Wisconsin.
