Letter on Hotel Menasha Letterhead (Menasa, Wisconsin, John B. Stitgen, Prop)
December 8, 1914
J. Kennedy Anderson
Franklin, Indiana
My dear Mr. Anderson,
I have had time to reread the correspondence you sent, & think about same.
I think I agree with Dr. Nickerson. When you get a manufacturing plant
[illegible] and in succesful working order will be time enough to plan about
the state of the International Co. In the present state of the financial
world, & the conditions of Europe, it looks hopeless any way. Indeed I
marvel that you have been succesful in doing what you say you have in Franklin.
I did not know Mr. Hannah had entered a claim against the Co. He is suing
me for $1000.00 services too. He certainly claims the Earth all right.
I hope to get through [ ] the matter that is pending between him and me
very soon now.
I shall be very glad and interested to hear the details of your success
in Franklin when you get things definitely going. I do hope this is a
real success & that there will be no backing out at the eleventh hour.
With best wishes,
Most Holy,
(Mrs.) [ ] Gilbert
