• VISITview: teletraining / distance-learning / collaboration software aimed at the meteorological community

  • History:
    • started in winter of 98-99
    • initially only browser mode supported
    • four programmers have been involved
    • feedback from instructors directs changes
  • Goals:
    • Extend the capabilities of OPTEL to better mimic AWIPS
    • Compliment other training aids
    • Continue to evolve as needs are identified
