The SPARC is part of the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Facilities for Atmospheric Research and Education (FARE) Community Instruments and Facilities (CIF) program
In order to facilitate fundamental research in the atmospheric sciences, the SPARC & SPARClet instruments and facilities are available for request under the Facility and Instrumentation Request Process (FIRP) solicitation
SPARC field campaigns are typically Track 2 proposals, with dues dates 9-15 months prior to activity
Field campaign infrastructure is provided by the SPARC team at UW-SSEC
UW-SSEC scientists are available to collaborate on field campaign science
