A tabular iceberg is a specific type of iceberg with
distinct shape and size features. It is often referred to as a "table
iceberg" because of its flat-top surface.
A tabular iceberg has the following distinguishing features:

- May be up to 100 miles long, 1000 ft. thick with about 100 ft. exposed
above the sea surface
- A length-to-height ratio greater than 5:1
- Often shows horizontal banding or layering on the sides
