There are times where data analysis is most useful when the data remains centered on a moving feature over a succession of images. This is called Lagrangian framing. The example below shows an unusual weather phenomenon called actinae, which are radial rotating arms of cloudiness which usually occur over cool ocean currents. This particular event occurred in 1997 in the Pacific Ocean and was captured by a GOES satellite.
