Twice a year the A-SIPS is involved in the NASA Land, Atmosphere Near real-time Capability for EOS (LANCE) Users Working Group meeting. LANCE consists of special processing elements that are co-located with EOSDIS Distributed Active Archive Centers (DAACs) and associated processing facilities, such as the SIPS. The A-SIPS serves as a VIIRS Atmosphere NRT product data provider for LANCE and functions as a LANCE Element.
