Academic Staff Priorities
You may have recently seen a survey relating to “2013-14 Academic Staff Governance Priorities” in your Inbox. Over 1,200 of our 8,500 academic staff responded to the survey and provided value input that was used in an August 23, 2013 governance retreat with Standing Committee chairs and Academic Staff Executive Committee (ASEC; which includes our own Denny Hackel) members to set academic staff governance priorities for the upcoming year.
Priorities and results of the survey will be discussed at an upcoming Academic Staff Assembly meeting. Assembly meetings are the second Monday of the month and are open to the public.
HR Design
With the biennium budget bill delaying many components of the HR Design Strategic Plan until 2013, a lot of people don’t know there are many aspects of the plan that can still move forward. The HR Design project team will be working on making progress on many parts of the Strategic Plan before July 1, 2015 that do not need legislature approval.
These areas include Classified Staff Institutional Governance, Class & Compensation Study, Application Tracking System, New Employee Onboarding, Recruitment/Selection Enhancement plan, Performance Management, HR Professional Competencies, Manager & Supervisor Competencies, Expanded Manager and Supervisor Training, Employee Engagement Surveys, Workplace Flexibility Toolkit, Workplace Diversity plan, OHR Org Assessment, HR Dashboard and Consolidation of HR Policies.
