3D Globe Glows at Wisconsin Science Festival
As part of the spectacular Wisconsin Science Festival, SSEC/CIMSS displayed the 3D Globe, with its entrancing full-dimensional look at how satellites study our planet. In addition, interactive software on the globe enabled students of all ages to create tornadoes, snowflakes, hurricanes, and even their own unique "livable" planet.
The Wisconsin Science Festival 2012 ran on 27-30 September 2012 and explored innovation from every possible angle. In Madison and around the state, the festival welcomed people of all ages to look, listen, feel, touch, taste and discover the wonders of all aspects of the sciences, arts and more through interactive exhibits, hands-on workshops, lectures, demonstrations and conversations with leading researchers and creative thinkers.
