The JoAnn Banks Break Room
When JoAnn Banks passed away on 24 September 2012, she left behind many years of friendship and service to SSEC. She began her career here as an electronics technician and later stepped into the role of Building Manager with little fanfare and a great deal of ability and spirit.
She will be long remembered as the absolute “go to” person when problems needed to be fixed – always there with a smile, a suggestion, a solution.
One of her last efforts at SSEC was the moving, remodeling, and upgrading of the building’s Break Room. It is only right that, in recognition of her decades of smiling and helpful interactions with everyone from the ground floor to the roof, that we honor her in a small way.
A brass plaque has been placed outside the Break Room. When you pass by, on occasion take a moment and remember our good friend JoAnn.
