Human Resources
It's the End of Semester...
As we enter the month of May it is time to look at any students you may have working for you. Is someone graduating? Maybe they have an internship somewhere else for the summer and will return in the fall... Will they want to work more hours? Do you need to look at hiring any replacements?
Contact HR with any needs or questions you may have!
Telephone and Computer Use Policy
SSEC understands that when employees work during the week it is occasionally necessary to conduct personal business during office hours. However, employees should limit their personal use of the telephone and computer during office hours. Talk to your manager if you have any questions as to how much is too much time.
Please help us maintain a quiet environment as a courtesy to people working at SSEC. Specifically, we ask that you:
- Use ear buds or headphones when listening to sound files on electronic devices.
- Set cell phones to vibrate mode.
- Take cell phone calls outside. *If you are taking your call in a shared office space, please note that sound carries and is amplified in the office.
- If you are going to have a lengthy discussion with a co-worker, if possible, use a conference room or the library on 3rd floor. At a minimum sit down and lower your voice so others can stay focused.
- Limit personal Skype calls from your computer and try to keep them short.
- When using Skype for work purpose, please whenever possible, use headphones and a microphone. *If you use Skype frequently for work purposes, please speak with your SSEC Supervisor to discuss getting appropriate equipment.
