Resources for Compiling a Literature Review

The Schwerdtfeger Library recently held workshops on compiling a literature review in the atmospheric sciences. The PowerPoint slides for the workshops are available on the library’s website, along with other resources that support research in the atmospheric sciences.
The presentation covers aspects of searching for and compiling information for a literature review that are useful to all researchers. These include the search process, scholarly communications, searching for books and articles, and using citation managers effectively. We focus on a couple of databases that are particularly important to the atmospheric sciences. They are, Web of Science and Meteorological and Geoastrophysical Abstracts.

We can help you find sources and offer tips for selecting from a range of databases depending on your need.
