Data Center
The SSEC Data Center is in the final stages of preparing data for an exhibit at the Miraikan National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation in Tokyo, Japan. The exhibit utilizes a 6-meter globe covered with over 15,000 OLED panels representing more than 10 million pixels in total on the sphere. The distance between pixels is about 3 mm.
The data center will supply primarily satellite-derived data for the globe -- the SSEC global infrared derived global cloud cover product being the highlight.
