Just as we did for the Phase 1 draft recommendations, the Academic Staff Executive Committee (ASEC) has spent a number of hours in the last couple weeks reviewing and writing the attached response to the HR Design Phase 2 Work Team Draft Recommendations. Overall, we felt that the reports were well done, however there were a number of concerns we had particularly in the areas of appointment types, job security and the appeals process. The current policies/procedures for these areas are contained within the Academic Staff Policies and Procedures so changes to them would need to be made by the Academic Staff Assembly.
