CIMSS, SSEC, AOS and CCR all present "An Interactive Morning on Climate Change and Energy Resources"
A significant contingent from the Atmospheric, Oceanic and Space Science Building (AOSS) presented at the "Saturday Science" event on Climate Change and Energy Resources at the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery (WID) on January 4th.
Patrick Rowley and Margaret Mooney from CIMSS brought the 3D Globe which was prominently featured in the forum.
Russ Dengel from SSEC staffed a stunning exhibit demonstrating the RealEarth web mapping service. Several AOS graduate students supported three different exploration stations and the Center for Climatic Research (CCR) staffed a table as well. In all, AOSS presence dominated the event.
Saturday Science at Discovery is a monthly series that consists of free science exploration and education programs aimed at families and learners of all ages. These drop-in programs are held from 10 a.m. until noon on the first Saturday of each month at Town Center of the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery.
