The Open Enrollment period ended on November 2, 2012 with many employees at SSEC making changes to the different insurance plans. By far the most popular change was with health insurance providers. Please know that there was a high volume of changes to health insurance across the UW-Madison campus as well as other UW institutions and State agencies.
If you do not receive your new insurance cards by January 1, 2013 - do not panic! You can see the doctor without cards, however, there may be some additional steps that you need to take. One option is to call the insurance company and ask for your group and member number. A clinic typically can run a claim with that information and will need a copy of the card once you receive it. If this does not work for you, contact Denise Weidner in HR and she can work through the options to figure out which is best for you.
Another Notable Change:
WRS mandatory percentage will be increasing from 5.9% to 6.65% effective January 1, 2013.
