New Library Website!
The Library's website has a new look, refined design and better navigation. We've improved the design and access to content, yet stayed true to the Library's mission to support the research of the Center and to be an information hub for our atmospheric science users -- scientists, faculty, and students alike. After extensive analysis of our web traffic, discussions about how to best organize and feature our most popular resources, and conversations with some of you, we've developed an information architecture that we think captures these elements. We've arrived at a blended look so that it's clear we belong with our parent organization, SSEC, but it also ties us to campus libraries.
The new design provides more visual interest along with some practical new features like the ability to download results from the publications database in rich text format, a user-requested improvement.
Thanks to Keely Merchant, Brian Anderson, and Linda Hedges, we're able to release the site well ahead of schedule. And thanks to all of you who took the time to help us with our usability testing.
We invite you to explore the new library website and let us know what you think.
