McIDAS-XRD 2009.1
Software and Instructions

McIDAS-XRD version 2009.1 was distributed 14 May 2009 and is now included in the McIDAS-X 2009.1 installation files and scripts. This change applies to 2009.1 and all subsequent versions of -X and -XRD (i.e., both packages will be included in the 2009.2, etc. installation files and scripts).

You can obtain the McIDAS-XRD files through the McIDAS-X 2009.1 Software and Instructions web page using your site's login and password. If you do not know the login and password, ask your site coordinator. If you have a problem obtaining these files via the web, ask your site coordinator to contact the McIDAS Help Desk by e-mail or by phone at (608) 262-2455.

Once the installation steps are completed, you should be able to run any of the commands included in the McIDAS-XRD 2009.1 package. If a previous version of McIDAS-XRD was installed, it should be removed after version 2009.1 is installed, tested, and working properly. Run the commands below to remove it, replacing version# with the number of the version (e.g., 2008).

Type: sh ./mcxrdversion#.sh unmake

Type: rm mcxrdversion#.sh

Type: rm mcxrdversion#.sp

Type: rm mcxrdversion#.tar.Z
