Installing and Configuring McIDAS-X

This chapter consists of the McIDAS-X installation and configuration instructions. There are four separate sections:

• Installing McIDAS-X on Unix or Mac OS X Workstations
• Installing McIDAS-X on Windows XP Workstations
• Configuring McIDAS-X Sessions with .mcidasrc
• Registering MD File Schemas

Go to Installing McIDAS-X on Unix or Mac OS X Workstations if you're installing McIDAS-X on a Unix or Mac OS X workstation. Go to Installing McIDAS-X on Windows XP Workstations if you're installing on a Windows XP workstation.
