Choosing Orbit Tracks Data
The Satellite->Orbit Tracks chooser provides three different methods of loading data:
- Local File - Access local TLE (Two Line Elements) files on the machine or a mounted drive.
- Remote ADDE - Access navigation data from a remote ADDE server.
- Remote URL - Access TLE (Two Line Elements) files online via a URL.

Properties
- File - Accesses local TLE (Two Line Elements) files on the machine or mounted drive.
- Look In - Allows for selecting folders to search for data files.
- Up One Level - Moves up one folder level in the local file system.
- Desktop - Opens the Desktop folder of the local file system.
- Create New Folder - Creates a new folder.
- List - Switches the view to a listing of all folders and files in the current path.
- Details - Switches the view to a detailed list of all folders and files in the current path.
- File Name - Lists the full name of the file selected.
- Files of Type - Narrows down the files shown in a folder to a specific data type.
- Remote - ADDE - Accesses navigation data from a remote ADDE server.
- Server - Selects the server to be used. Enter in a server name or choose one from the pulldown menu. Right-click in the entry box to manage the ADDE servers and to delete the server from the list.
- Manage - Manages the list of servers by opening the ADDE Servers tab of the User Preferences window.
- Dataset - Selects the dataset to be used. Enter in a dataset name or choose one from the pulldown menu.
- Public Datasets - Lists the public datasets available on the server. This button looks for any datasets contained in the PUBLIC.SRV file on the server. If this file doesn't exist, or if there are no datasets in this file that can be used by this chooser, then no datasets will be returned.
- - Connects and queries the server for available image types.
- Descriptor - Selects the descriptor, which is generally a satellite or instrument.
- Remote - URL - Accesses TLE (Two Line Elements) files online via a URL. The default URL is: https://celestrak.com/NORAD/elements/weather.txt
- Help - Opens this help page.
- Refresh - Rescans the current directory and update the file chooser if the files have changed.
- - Loads the selected file(s).
