Himawari-8, positioned at 140E, is now available from the SSEC Data Center.

Requirements to access this data:

1.  McIDAS 2015.1 will be required, see:
    http://www.ssec.wisc.edu/mcidas/softwar/x/fastrack2015.1_unix.html


2.  A valid McIDAS User ID and project number.

General Schedule Information:

Full Disks are sent every 10 minutes (ie. 0000, 0010, 0020 ... ) , with
the exception of 0240UTC and 1440UTC, when the Full Disk is cancelled
for  maintenance.

Target Regions are sent every 2.5 minutes.  Target sectors are not
affected by the maintenance period.
