ABI Schedule Change

GOES-16 (GOES-East) and GOES-17 (GOES-West) Advanced Baseline Imagers (ABI) will permanently transition from Flex Mode (mode 3) operations to 10-minute Flex Mode (mode 6) operations starting April 2, 2019 at 1600UTC.  In the event of a Critical Weather Day declaration, the mode 6 transition will be rescheduled for the same time each day thereafter until the transition can be executed.

10-minute Flex Mode (mode 6) operations is a Full Disk every 10 minutes, CONUS every 5 minutes, and 2 meso domains every minute (or 1 domain every 30 seconds).  Continuous Full Disk Mode (mode 4) will continue to be a secondary operational mode.

HCAST Outage

Since 20191126, SSEC-SDS has not received HCAST data due to a change of processing stations. We are working with our contacts to restore the data feed but as of now, there is no estimated uptime.
