Brad Pierce began serving as Director of the Space Science and Engineering Center (SSEC) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in October 2018 following a nationwide search. His background includes over 25 years as a scientist with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and NASA. SSEC’s leadership also includes an executive director as well as associate directors for engineering, administration and science. Their combined experience is guiding SSEC and the Cooperative Institute for Meteorological Satellite Studies (CIMSS) into the future.
